Cuban cleared to purchase Rangers
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has been cleared by Major League Baseball to make an offer for the Texas Rangers.
Cuban has been rumored to be interested in purchasing a major league team for some time, with his hometown Pittsburgh Pirates being one of his considerations.
However, the fact that the Rangers are up for sale makes them a perfect purchase since he now resides in Dallas and is owner of the Mavericks.
Cuban would be good for the game of baseball and also for the Rangers’ franchise, which is hamstrung with cash problems.
