Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki became the 34th player in NBA history to reach the 20,000 point mark.
Nowitzki has always been one of the league’s most talented scorers, but has often been looked down upon for his postseason struggles.
It also doesn’t help his cause that he has been much-maligned for being soft and a terrible defensive player.
Still, that’s a pretty elite group he has now joined, and he still has several years of basketball left in him.
He is going to end up in the top 30 of all-time for scoring, which certainly means the Hall of Fame could come calling.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban is making headlines again, this time with comments about the NFL.
What else is new?
Cuban lashed out at the NFL, saying they don’t care about anyone but themselves because they think they rule the sports world.
The owner is mad because the league scheduled the Dallas-Philadelphia playoff game for Saturday at 8 p.m., the same time his basketball team will play.
I’m not sure what Cuban expects the NFL to do. They try to avoid scheduling conflicts with other leagues, but sometimes its unavoidable. It’s not like its a playoff basketball game that fans will miss.
